The Book Blogger Hop is an amazing blog hop hosted by Jennifer at Crazy For Books! I love her page and hers was one of the first blogs I became obsessed with for its cuteness! So big shout out to her :) Here's this week's question:
"If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?"
I would put myself in the Chronicles of Narnia!! Namely The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe once (spoiler alert) the White Witch's reign is over and the kids reign over Narnia. I'd also love to be in the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. But just the part with the chocolates :-P
All the other series that I've read haven't been happy. I mean, there were points when I wanted to be in Harry Potter (book one for sure, book two too scary and all the other after, heck no, I'd probably die first!). And then there was the Shadow Children's series or the Hunger Games trilogy, which are deliciously dystopian but I'd never want to BE in any of those books! This was a hard question!

Good choices. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory would be such an awesome book to experience first-hand! I also said Harry Potter in its happier moments :) You just made me a new follower!
ReplyDeleteTake care & happy reading,

Greetings from Oz, Popping in again to say hi! I am already following your delightful blog. Jen's question was tricky this week...but I went for my all time favorite book that was made into a movie.
ReplyDeleteOld fashioned...yep, sure is. But it has stayed with me for many years.
pop in and take a look see.

Stopping by on the Hop. You've got some great choices there! I like your reasoning for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

My answer's a little selfish. Come see why. Happy blog hop.
ReplyDeleteI agree- lots of great books to enjoy, but not to be part of!

And I definitely agree with your hop answers this week! I also mentioned Harry Potter, but I didn't say anything about The Chronicles of Narnia, however I definitely would love my own wardrobe to visit there too! (^_^)
Ttyl and I hope you're having a great start to your weekend.
I love to be in Harry Potter but I want JK to write my character! lol! Narnia is also an amazing movie. Haven't read the books... :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely choice. Coming through on the blog hop.
ReplyDeleteThe first series I thought of was Harry Potter too, but then I as like "errrr, I don't want to face death every year. No thanks." haha ;)
ReplyDeleteLoving the Blog!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be a Marian Keyes character *swoons*
Hop past the blog to say hi!

ReplyDeleteI do remember, imagining myself stepping into Narina, the writing was so powerful.

Hi hopping over from the blog hop. Great choice. I love your blog. The backgroup wallpaper is very pretty. I am also doing the 100 books in 2011 challenge I am doing pretty good so far...I usually read more in the summer.

ReplyDeleteA new follower from the hop! Hope you'll visit me at http://redhotbooks.blogspot.com --Jen
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, definitely after the White Witch is gone. All that endless winter would be too much. Even HP one is kind of scary with Voldemort as the freaky head baby thing. That's almost scarier because it's just so weird!
ReplyDeleteMy choice is the Myron Bolitar series by Harlan Coben. But the Harry Potter series would be good too.

Great Choice, I love Narnia, I am a new follower. Check out my answer at http://www.wrighton-time.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteGood choice on the Chronicles of Narnia. I wouldn't mind putting myself in Narnia either :)
ReplyDeleteI had the same thought about Harry Potter, Hunger Games, etc. Those books may stay with you, but I definitely do NOT want to live in Panem. Post-White Witch Narnia sounds much more pleasant. ;)
ReplyDeleteNew follower via Blog Hop.
Great answers, Narnia sounds very adventurous, stop and see mine.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to see the Chronicles of Narnia as a choice, but I think it is a great one.
ReplyDeleteHarry Potter would be fun, but I couldn't be put in the same series as Voldemort.

Apologies in advance for my answer this week as it will not immediately resonate with the book blogger population which happens to be 99.5% female.
ReplyDeleteMy choice is a book series geared towards guys which won’t enthrall the vast majority of my fellow book bloggers (who are almost entirely female) with the extensive discussion of powerful weapons and sexy milspec gear, beautiful women, eye-popping action sequences (with occasionally obscene violence), and the like.
But there IS something in my answer that just about everyone of the female persuasion can benefit from my decidedly “books for guys” post. Hop on over to http://www.howardsherman.net to find out what it is.
Happy Hop Friday!

Narnia is a good answer. I found it hard to think of books that weren't things I loved as a child, because those were the places I really wanted to go.
ReplyDeleteHere is my hop: http://hawthornescarlet.blogspot.com/2011/03/book-blogger-hop-escaping-into-book.html
I love your choices! Narnia and the HP worlds would be fun to live in. I can't believe I didn't think of HP when I was making our post. Thanks again for visiting Reading Lark!
